St. Wulfran

St. Wulfran was a holy man who lived in the 7th and 8th centuries in what is now known as France. He was born into a noble family and was educated in the Christian faith from a young age. He felt a strong calling to the priesthood and became a monk at the abbey of Fontenelle.

Wulfran quickly distinguished himself as a leader and was eventually appointed abbot of the abbey. However, he soon felt another calling, this time to evangelize the pagans who lived in what is now northern France. He left the abbey and traveled to the area around Amiens, where he began preaching the Gospel to the people.

Wulfran’s efforts were successful, and many people converted to Christianity. He established several churches in the area and founded a monastery in the town of Abbeville. He also served as bishop of Sens for a time.

Throughout his life, St. Wulfran demonstrated great faith, courage, and humility. He was known for his compassion towards the poor and the sick, and for his unwavering commitment to spreading the Gospel. He died in 720, and was later venerated as a saint.

St. Wulfran’s life serves as an inspiration to all of us. He reminds us of the importance of living a life of service to others, and of the power of the Gospel to transform lives. May we all strive to follow in his footsteps and spread the love of Christ to those around us.
